Our Christmas season started last Saturday with the parade in Blowing Rock. We continued it when we got to Raleigh with a quick trip to the Farmer's Market to get our tree.
Yesterday we went to a Santa breakfast where the girls decorated a gingerbread house. It is safe to say that they ate MUCH more candy than they put on the house. Right picture, notice the full cheeks.
Oy, the cotton candy.
Oh, and Lillian ate a bunch of bacon.
Adeline's sweet friend helped her decorate (i.e. eat the candy)
It would not be a breakfast with Santa without actually seeing Santa. There was a bit of a line...Lillian was more interested in the lights and dragging her blanket around. Adeline was all business. Totally focused on getting to the front of that line.
When her turn came she quickly made her way to his lap and posed for pictures. Lillian still would have nothing to do with him, you can see a smidge of her in the corner of the frame, that is as close as she got.
This is where Adeline tells Santa that she wants go-go boots and princess dress up clothes. Say what?!
Santa's elf brought the girls a snowman! I had planned to keep it on the back porch where the girls could see it from the all the rooms downstairs but Luke moved it to the front yard.
Sweetest Lillian had a big time trying on Adeline's "loon" hat. She has been really cute considering she has the flu AND 2 teeth coming in. Our little trooper.
We finished our weekend with Adeline singing in the Hanging of the Greens. Cousin Riley came to watch her and THAT made Adeline very happy! She really loves her cousin!
