This was a wonderful Fourth of July! There were a couple storms but overall the weather was beautiful. The girls were in a camp in the mornings which left us with the afternoon for adventures (also gave me VERY relaxing mornings).
One day we went out to Price Park for a picnic and playing in the creek. We were so excited to meet up with my cousin Andrew his wife Morgan and their two precious kids, Jonathan and Madeline.
Another afternoon took us to the Cone Manor. We hiked from the house down to Bass Lake.
Dad took the girls and me on a tour of the golf course on Wednesday. We got to feed the piranhas, too!
This is what happens when the girls get hold of my phone. Adeline captures all of Lillian's facial expressions.
There were many trips to the park. This is Adeline napping (wink wink) on Doc's shoulder after a trip to the park.
Happy 4th of July!
We had a cookout with the McNeeleys and Wilsons.
Happy 5th of July!
The Coxes came to BR for the day and gave Adeline and Lillian a great chance to get to know their cousins. Adeline found a best buddy in Jonathan!
Back at the ranch...Lillian was in no mood for the parade and Teeny was thankful for an excuse to stay out of the craziness downtown. They had some porch time.
That night we went to a 4th of July (on the 5th) celebration.
The girls loved the bouncy slide. Lillian was fearless. There were times when Adeline was following her little sister's lead.
Of course Lillian found a way to get Doc to go down the slide with her:)
It was a wonderful week!
I spent most of that following week watering the vegetables and plants (love my sweet husband but he is not the best at watering). The girls beg me to spray them with the hose every time we are out there. I finally gave in...
Nonni and Poppy stopped by to see us as we headed off to the beach...pictures to come!
