Last Few Days of School

We had lots of things going on this week at school.  First was a trip to the Museum of Natural Sciences.  These kids were sponges. They soaked up every bit of information.

These are the 5 girls in Adeline's class.  3 are headed to kindergarten next year, 2 will head to transitional kindergarten.

Today we had a school picnic.  The girls had a ball playing with all there friends.

This is Ms. Scott.  She is one of the two teachers that Adeline had this year.  Adeline loooooooves Ms. Scott.  She has been amazing, we will miss her and Ms. Sue!

We also had visit with baby Cash yesterday and a visit with a ladybug.

This is the best.  After our long day at the park Adeline was what some call a "hot mess".  We had pulled all her dance stuff out that morning to pick out a "ballet-o-tard".  While I was putting Lillian to bed Adeline found her way to her room and a long overdue nap.  I kept moving the tutus thinking I would wake her up (did not want her up all night!) but nothing worked.  She slept among the tutus for 2 hours.

Happy Mother's Day

Before we get to the Mother's day festivities... This was last week when Lillian was playing with Adeline's toys while she was at school.  I sent the picture to mom and she reminded me that this quilt was made by Teeny's grandmother, Lillian's great great grandmother.  Pretty amazing.

Saturday we took a day trip to Randleman to give Teeny a Mother's Day hug.  It was only a matter of minutes after our arrival that the girls were setting themselves up for a tea party.

Then the usual truck book with Doc.  Just the mention of a ride in the jeep and both girls are squealing...

We all pile in...

Doc lets Adeline drive...

Then we stop by the FFA farm at the high school to check on the chickens and cows.

we always have fun at camp TeenyDoc (that is what we call it).

My Mother's Day was wonderful.  It started with breakfast in bed and then out the door to church where Adeline sang with the Joy Choir.  A pretty good picture of me and the the girls.  This is how Lillian smiles.  Seriously, you tell her to smile and she makes this face.  Cracks me up.

We had a wonderful lunch over at SueSue and WhoWho's house with Nonni and Poppy.  Riley was showing the girls how he could climb the magnolia tree, all the way to the top.  Really, the very tippy top.

Sweet.

Adeline, Lillian and Nonni.  She her cheese face!

Oh, these are the best pictures of Nonni!

Lillian did not nap this afternoon.  She has had a few days like this, she kinda acts a little bonkers.  This  was the last picture of the day:

Week in pictures

More like 3 weeks in pictures.
Lillian loves make-up, especially my eyeshadow, which she uses as blush and lipstick.

Give these two water and dirt and they are happy for hours.

Everything on the floor, including her pjs and diaper, were originally in her crib. Think she is trying to drop her nap?

Fashion Fun Friday.

Lillian painting a picture for Luke's 40th birthday present and picking our first flowers of spring.

Adeline and I had a dentist appointment last week so Lillian got to help her daddy at the office.  These were the two pictures that Luke texted me.  Evidently she likes to make conference calls and drink Muscle Milk.

Next stop, Liberty Antique Festival.  Lillian and I met Teeny and Doc there last weekend. Lillian had a great time with the wide open spaces, fun things to ride and sit on, a hot dog and a big gravel hill to climb. Oh, and we found a Teeny Weeny Wagon.

"Antiquing" wore Lillian out!

Meanwhile, Adeline had a daddy-daughter day.  Complete with breakfast at Big Ed's, flower shopping at Logan's and plenty of QT with baby Spencer.

This was a few days ago...short sleeves and bare feet.  With the frigid temps outside this seems like a year ago.

Last but not least...Doc and Teeny were in town for the night and we made a trip to the Farmer's Market this morning.  Wilson joined us.  These 4 found pretzels, flowers and veggies...Mom and I found lots of plants.
