The Weekend

Started with some very cold weather!  Last Thursday I told the girls I wanted them to get outside and run around before dinner time. I turned around for half a minute and Adeline was rolling around on the cold ground next to Hattie.  And Lillian always does whatever Adeline does.  It was really cute to see the 3 girls rolling around giggling.

We were thrilled to have Jackie's shower at our house on Saturday.  Adeline was hosting with us but quickly took her lunch plate in her sunroom for some peace and quiet.

then she helped Jackie open presents.  She was in charge of putting the bows in the bag.

SueSue brought the girls new hats...just in time for this chilly weather!

Here is "YeeYee" in Cosco.  This is what Adeline calls her and what Lillian calls herself.  YeeYee.  She was hooting YeeYee all through the store.

Some of Moms flowers from the shower.  They were beautiful!

Halloween!

Pumpkin carving was a 2 night process.  Adeline drew the faces on one side of the pumpkin (very small) and I tried to copy them onto the other side (much bigger).  I did the best I could!

Halloween night we had BIG plans but were only able to meet half of our schedule.  Lillian started off a bit under-napped and cranky but she rallied...Adeline was excited, no cranky here!

A quick stop at Nonni and Poppy's for treats and a Riley sighting...

Then off to the Thompson's for a night FULL of Adeline's buddies...

Lillian was a trooper...

I tried to feed her but all she wanted was the "mummies in a blanket" which she carried around with her for 20 minutes, nibbling on it and growling at anyone who tried to take it out of her fist.  She finally found a safe spot under the table.

This was PRE trick or treating.  The girls were swapping candy before they hit the street...

while they were focused on candy Lillian took the opportunity to play with all the toys.

Then they were off to collect the goods...

Lillian did all she could to keep up...

By the way, she was a sheep but did not wear the ears so we tied her 'bebe" around her head to keep her ears warm.  It seemed to work!

They made it home, happy!, by 7:45.  Both were sound asleep by 8:00.

Happy Halloween!

More and more fall...

Last Thursday we had Fall Fest at their preschool.  They teachers put on an awesome festival and the girls had a great time.  Lillian spent most of the time chasing after Adeline and her friends.  She stopped once to wrap herself in "bebe" the blanket.

Face painting...

Hayrides...

Funny pictures...

Hoot the owl...

and a bunch of fun in the bounce house!

The girls and I walked to school one day last week, Lillian did not want to dress for the day so I did not  bother changing her out of her pjs.  On our way home we stopped by the chicken lady's house.  Here is Lillian checking out the birds!

Can you tell what Adeline's favorite color is?  I took this picture because she was a purple blur. Head to toe purple!

The pumpkin carving is a two night process.  Here Adeline has drawn her pumpkin faces on the pumpkins and actually helped me gut them. She washed her hands three times during the whole process.

Here is the cowgirl/ballerina.   They were allowed to wear their costumes to dance class this week.  She decided NOT to take the horse to class which was a very wise decision.

Punkin' Pickin'

Monday was a big day!  It started with a field trip to the pumpkin patch this week.  Adeline's class headed to Belinda's pumpkin farm 30 miles east of Raleigh.  I offered to drive and Adeline was thrilled that she had friends riding in her car
A hayride took us through the farm...

To the pumpkin patch where they were able to get out and PICK pumpkins...

they could pick as many as they wanted...

then they ran off and left me with 10 pumpkins to roll back to the hayride.

Monday night we had a birthday dinner to celebrate Nonni, Jennifer and Brook's birthdays.

I had tried to get Lillian to eat all night and she would have none of it.  10 minutes before we left I was walking past the pizza box and Lillian let me know she wanted a piece.  And that was how she ate it.  Whole.

This is just a sweet picture of the 2 of them.  I rarely get all four eyes on the camera and smiles too!

We cleaned out the shed and found the wagon which meant we took a wagon ride around the block.  Adeline pulled most of the way!

This is what they love to do together...play with jewelry.
