Everything else...

This was post from the fall that I sadly never posted...

I realize I have so many pictures I want to share!  Probably because I have not shared any since September.  Our fall was full.  But isn't everyones fall full?  Adeline finally adjusted to kindergarten and hit her stride by November.  We still had lots of tears and early (like 6:00) bedtimes but we all finally fell into a schedule that worked.

In September, the Freeze family had its first reunion in years.  We all had a great time but the girls really really loved getting to meet their cousins.  Of course Dad was one of the kids.

Lindsey is due any day now!  Here she was only 4 months, I think, she has looked great throughout the whole pregnancy.  (Of course now Emmett is here!)

Naturally there was a pick up game of kickball, for all ages!

Here is proof that we were all together, missing only a few though.

First generation

Second generation

Third generation

Adeline joined a tribe!  Indian princess tribe that is.  Meet "Little Rose" and "Big Thorn".  She picked the names!

Halloween gets better and better every year!  This year Adeline was Dorothy and wore the costume that I wore when I was 7.  Her teacher's daughter was Dorothy last year so she loaned us a basket and  a stuffed Toto that looked just like the one in the movie!
Lillian and I had many many many conversations about her costume.  She wanted to be Elsa from Frozen.  I desperately tried to talk her out of it but she would not be deterred. You know me, I have to have an original costume.  Not this year.  I gave in and welcomed the Ice Queen.  She was the most  adorable Elsa out there that night, and trust me, there were a thousand Elsas.

I was not able to get a lot of pictures while we were trick or treating.  I could barely keep up with Adeline and her friends, they were serious about collecting candy.  Lillian and her buddy Wood were not nearly as serious and enjoyed the ride, probably because they could eat their candy without being noticed.

SO here is the part of the post where I just include a lot of pictures I think are cute but don't have much else to say about them.

OK, back to business.  Nonni's birthday dinner.  It took a lot to blow out that one candle!

Lillian had her first visit to the dentist!  Our dentist, and good friend, let Adeline try out the blue gloves to clean her sisters teeth.  Lillian was much more comfortable with Adeline behind the mask.

This is how we spent the last few afternoons of our warm fall.  Adeline and Townsend, the boy pictured here and neighbor, would come home from school and would play, or lay, in the backyard and color.

Lillian will still find quiet spots to nap.  This day I had put her in time out because she was acting so fussy.  Obviously she was just really tired, I could not even open the bathroom door.

And we will wrap it up with the BBQ festival...

Holidays are next!

Florida!

We had the most wonderful spring break!  This was a big treat for all of us but especially for the girls, for many reasons.  This was their first airplane ride! Their first trip out of state! AND their first trip to Disney, although this part was a surprise.
The girls loved the airplane.  I am usually uncomfortable flying (I get a little nervous) but when I had them with me it was like I was flying for the first time, too.

I should mention that we did all these fun things with the Chapman's, whose daughter is Adeline's best friend.  Their younger son is the same age as Lillian and the two are partners in crime.

We spent the first three days of spring break on Sanibel Island.

Day #2 We took a boat out the first day we were there so that we could look for shells.  The picture below, on the right, shows them looking at a manatee that had found its way into the harbor.

A stop at Cabbage Key to sign a dollar and tape it to the wall.

Lillian needed a lift.

We ended the first day on the beach in Captiva where the sun sets perfectly over the ocean.

Day #2 We beached it all day.  The water was not warm enough for me to get in but Adeline and Kacky loved it.

Water was too cold for Lillian too but she was a great shell collector!

Our house was on a golf course and the kids loved to run around after all the golfers had played through.  I had to chase them around to get these pictures.

Day #3 Disney.
We had told them the night  before that we were going to Disney the next day.  We also told them that it would be an early morning but I don't think they fully understood how early it would be.  Usually my kids are up at 6:00am but they were on beach time and had not gone to bed until 9:00pm the night before.  They were all a bit cranky when we woke them up but by the time we made it to the hotel and headed to The Magic Kingdom their spirits were up.  Here are their faces as we rounded the corner and they saw the castle for the first time.  Even I was impressed.  It had been a long time since I had seen it.

We wasted no time in getting to the rides.  We had originally thought that Lillian would be scared of the rides but we were wrong.  So very wrong.  She loved the roller coasters.

They were both set on meeting Ariel as soon as possible.  They both thought this was cool but Lillian's face was priceless.  She was enamored with her.

Dinner and dancing.

Day #4 was an equally early morning but there were no complaints.  We accomplished A LOT.  We had early appointments at The Bibbity Bobbity Bootique

This is what your hair looks like on fairy dust.

We met many characters.

We let the girls each pick out one treat.  Adeline picked a Toy Story doll, that was predictable. Lillian, on the other hand pick out a bow and arrow from the movie Brave.  Did not see this one coming.

Bye Bye Magic Kingdom!

Day #5
Breakfast with the Disney characters.  I knew the girls would be excited about this but I realized very quickly that they were more excited to hug these characters than they were the princesses.  Chef Mickey cooked up a really good buffet too!

The beach at our hotel.

Day #6
Our last day in Sanibel. We headed to the beach and soaked up our last few hours.  Lillian fell asleep in my lap.

Day #7 One last trip to the pool and a limo ride to the airport.  We went out with a bang!

It was an awesome week with great friends!
