Vacay

As we are winding down the summer I am finally getting around to posting about our wonderful vacation in July.  I had a hard time picking favorites so I apologize for the overload.
Here is an overview of our week at the beach:

Adeline was so excited about the fact that there was a bunk bed in our house.  She was thrilled to get to sleep in the same room with Lillian.  They made it 3 nights together before we finally had to separate them.  They were up way too late and up way too early.  A bad combo for vacation.

Another highlight of our week was...The super moon!!!
We had a front row seat for the best moon of the quarter.  Doesn't look so super in the picture but it was!

One of their favorite things to do after bath was to take the boogie board and slide down the dunes.

There was plenty of beach time!

And a starfish!!

Luke spent hours (I mean hours) in  the surf with Adeline teaching her how to surf.  Here is proof that she has the skills!

Dinner on  the porch and portraits of the beach babes.

Lillian slept on the beach 3 out of the 7 days.  She was a little beach bum.  Even Adeline napped out there one day.  It was awesome to have my not-so-little girl nap on my lap again.

We had two days with afternoon rain. So we made the best of what we had.  Adeline danced in the rain and then we all watched the lightening like it was a movie.

Then the sun came out and we were back to the salt life.

The girls (and adults) ate a lot of ice cream!

We attempted to have a photo shoot on t he last night.  My girls are goofy.  They thought the whole process was silly so they acted silly.  There were too many to choose from so I picked a bunch to share:)

They finally got tired and stood a little more still.

On our way out, literally, we asked our neighbors to take a family picture of us.  It just so happened our neighbors were the Kesters from High Point.

We stopped by the battleship on our way back to Raleigh.  The girls were not as impressed as we were but they did have fun!

It was a great week!  This summer sped by and now Adeline is almost a kindergartener!  I will post pictures soon!
