This seems like years ago....I left off with our trip to Bald Head Island. I have so much to share! Next stop, Mother's Day.
We went to church on Sunday with Nonni, Poppy, Susan, Steven and Riley.
We had lunch at the Kings before we headed to one of my favorite spots for the afternoon, Ayr Mount.
I had an internship at Ayr Mount when I was a junior in college and have always loved it. It was also the place where Luke proposed:) What a great way to spend my Mother's Day!
Lillian has adopted an interesting way of smiling in pictures. You will see what I mean...
Lots and lots of space to run and play.
From this point we went in to a whirlwind of end-of-the-year activities. One trip to the nature science museum.
End of the year music program at church.
Both girls with some of their besties. You think Lillian looks sad? I did too. Her teacher sent me this picture and I asked her about it one day at pick up. She said that Lillian and Mary Charles play "Frozen", Lillian is Ana and Mary Charles is Elsa. That should explain the facial expressions, right?
Adeline's graduation program. So hard to believe that she is finished with preschool!
Schools out for summer...headed to Greensboro for Teeny's birthday.
This trip was also a belated birthday present for Doc. Wilson bought the family tickets to the college baseball championship which was held in Greensboro. This was the girls first baseball game and they made their debut in front row seats!
A few more pictures from the weekend.
Another highlight from June...Lillian moved to a big girl bed!
The girls ballet recital. Adeline was awesome! In years past she has been a little hesitant on the stage. This year was different. She was a beautiful natural! Sweet Yeye was a different story. She managed to get her whole fist in her mouth and stood on the stage looking out at the audience with a "What are you looking at?" expression on her face. It was hilarious. She looked adorable!
Lillian and sweet Georgie.
Adeline moved from ballet and tap lessons to swim lessons. This was her first year on the swim team and she was awesome! She was in the 5 and unders which is not as "serious" as the other age groups but she was still a little fish in the pool.
Her first meet and she won first place in free style!
It poured rain during this meet. Here Lillian is trying to fix Nonni's wet hair.
They write your swimmer number on your arm before a meet so they know who you are. Lillian wanted to have numbers written on her arm like her big sister.
There were lots of meets and even more practices. She had a ball!
She is the second from the bottom.
The score board of the league championship:) Granted she was in the second group, she still won it!
Random picture...the girls fixing Nonni's hair.
Father's Day! We are thankful for this great daddy!
Then there was camp. Adeline had a fun week at St. Mary's Sports Camp. I am still not convinced that they played a lot of sports (much to Luke's dismay) but I know she had fun and met lots of nice new friends.
A night with the Brewer boys. I think it is safe to say that outside of her cousin Riley, Ben Brewer is Lillian's favorite boy in the whole wide world. That's him on the left. When I told her that we were going to eat dinner with him she insisted on wearing her ballet recital costume because she thought he would think she "wooked bootiful". She also loves ice cream!
Same night, the Barrow girls, sweet friends.
I don't know where to begin. Dress up at Nonni's, in Susan and Jennifer's prom dresses. And a toy gun. Anything can happen at Nonni and Poppy's!
Phew, that is a quick look at May and June. This is how we have spent most evenings. Playing golf in the backyard and catching lightening bugs. I love summer!
