BHI

Adeline and I got a very special treat the early part of May.  Wilson, Lindsey, Hayes and Jackie rented a house at Bald Head Island for a week.   We were thrilled to be invited to join them for a few days.  I decided that it would be a great chance for Adeline and me to get away just the two of us, something that never happens.   Giving Lillian a chance for a mini vacation at Camp Teeny Doc.   And Luke, well, he got three days of quiet.

Bald Head Island is one of my favorite places on the earth.  I remember going as a child.  It was a magical place for a kid.  I loved being able to take Adeline back.

She was so excited to take the ferry!

We hit the beach all three days.  The water was a little to cold but it was perfect for sunbathing and sandcastles.

And of course there were plenty of golf cart rides.

Old Baldy.

It would not be a vacation with Wilson without geochaching!

It would not be vacation with Lindsey without hair braiding!

No trip east is complete without a trip to the trolley stop.  The only reason I took this picture was so that I could send it to Luke...to rub it in.  Not very nice of me.

Back to school and "Muffins with Mom".  Look at these precious girls!

Speaking of precious girls...

Many many thanks to Wilson, Lindsey, Hayes, and Jackie for including us in their vacation!

Easter, etc...

Where did I leave off?  Somewhere around April 3rd, which was Lillian's birthday!  We still have not celebrated her 3rd birthday with friends yet but we celebrated with Dora on her birthday morning!

The week leading up Easter was of course filled with Easter activities.

The week ended with the arrival of Doc and Teeny!
Here they are going through the Resurrection Eggs.

Dying eggs, for the second time of the season.

Lillian and Wilson playing a game the girls call "hello".  All you have to do to play is hold a doll/figurine and say "hello" to the other doll/figurine.  Simple, right?

Saturday night of Easter weekend we celebrated Luke's birthday.  We tried to celebrate Lillian's too but she refused.  Insisted that it was "daddy's birthday, not mine!"

Easter!

Easter lunch at the Murray's.

Other things have gone on after Easter....Lillian is still refusing to nap in her bed but will nap anywhere else.  Notice the artwork on her face in the picture on the left.  Picture on the right is baby girl resting on  a balloon.

Lillian got a bounce house for her birthday.  Like I mentioned before, we have not officially celebrated her birthday but we had a sunny Saturday that we planned to spend in the yard.  Thought that was  a good day to go on and give her the present.  She was reluctant at first but soon warmed up!

More news...We got chickens!  Well, our neighbors built a chicken coop, we got the chickens to go in it.  Half the chickens are in the coop and the other half are still growing inside.  We should have fresh eggs by mid July!

Just some cute pictures of the girls...

This has also been the month of yard work.  This was Adeline helping Luke shovel mulch, with her Dora hand trowel.

Adeline is wrapping up her last year in TK (transitional kindergarten).  We have cherished every day these last few months with the perish girls in her class.

Class trip to the strawberry patch.

Still more to come...
