Everything other than the snow

There has been more than snow during the months of January and February!!

A big treat was Adeline's trip to a UNC basketball game with Doc.  She wore a cheerleading uniform which meant Lillian would wear hers too, even though she was not going to the game.

The hand-off in Chapel Hill.

I think Doc had to beg and bribe his way to get these pictures.  Just minutes before tip-off and he manages to get the Ram and a cheerleader in a picture.  Adeline was thrilled!

Then they tracked down the dance team during half-time.

Our little 'YeYe' (thats what she calls herself).  Being her adorable self.

They have both loved their scooters.  Lillian still has miles to go...

On our walk the other day (post snow) we spotted a sweet little patch of dirt near our house that was covered in crocuses.  Thrilled to have a glimmer of spring!

Same day we got a visit from Riley and SueSue.

A family dentist appointment!

I like to think that Carolina won because Adeline wore this shirt.  This was Luke's when he was little:)

Snowcation

We had another big snow, as I am sure most of you all did too!  We had one really good day of sledding (but three days of snowcation from preschool).  Bundling the girls up is always a lot of work.  Neither of them love to wear lots of layers (both of them little heaters) so forcing them into snow gear is hard work.

Once they were bundled they were happy to be outside and on the sled.  Adeline is my future bobsledder.  Lillian spent most of the time eating the fresh snow out of our neighbors yard.  No exaggeration.  She probably ate a gallon of snow before complaining that her face was cold.

Day 2 was more ice and rain than snow.  We had a fun day with friends and made our first batch of snow cream.

Lillian was pooped from all the snow fun (and her dropped nap), she crashed anywhere there was a soft surface.

Day 3 was a great day to build a snowman!

Day 3 of snowcation was also Valentine's Day! That means lots of sweets and plenty of pink decorations.

Day 4 of Snowcation was a special treat for the girls.  Luke took them rollerskating with some other dads and kids.  Adeline is a roller girl but Lillian was new to the skating world.  Luke said she spent the whole time chasing and calling after Adeline only to catch up to her and hug on her.  It was cute.

Lillian is FULL of personality.  It seems to be growing everyday.  She constantly has me laughing (mostly because she is hilarious, sometimes because she is driving me crazy).  For the last few months I have had the constant battle of clothing this child who literally repels clothing.  She goes through 6-7 outfits a day.  If I wrangle her into one outfit in the morning and it does not meet her standards than she is fast to change it when she gets home from preschool.  Here is just a sampling of the outfits that I have documented in the last week.

She is a mess.  A funny, sweet mess!
