Another Trip to the Arboretum

We had a teacher workday a few weeks ago and decided to spend our free morning at the arboretum.  It was a beautiful day and we found lots of colorful leaves to add to our collection.

A very Happy Halloween!

We had a wonderful Halloween.  Before the big day of trick-or-treating we had a nice night at our church's fall festival.  Adeline is so proud of these pigtail braids.  She has been wanting "braided tails" for months and this was the first night she was able to show them off.

Next day was Halloween and the kids got to wear their costume to school.  Look familiar?  Yes, that is the same dress she wore for her birthday.  That was part of the deal, I would make her an "Amber" dress but she had to wear it to both her birthday party and Halloween.  No complaints, just like a real princess!

They stayed in costume all day!

The first stop for treats was Poppy and Nonni's house.

We had a Riley sighting too!

Next stop, Weesee and Lindsey's house

We headed back to our neighborhood and met up with neighbors to trick or treat near home.

It was a lot of walking early in the evening.  A lot of riding later.

Here are all the monsters at the last house of the night. Adeline has probably had a pound of candy at this point.  Lillian is still clutching her white chocolate truffle that she got at the first house.

She put the truffle down to eat a piece of pizza after we got back to the house.  Needed a little clean up from our neighbor.

It really was a fun night!  Lillian got into it and was zipping from house to house, barely waiting for me to catch up.  Adeline knew exactly what to do and was all business, she was on a candy collecting mission.
Next up...Thanksgiving!
