Or Lillian's version of the alphabet. Plus a few more of her favorite things to talk about these days.

Lillian is 2...again!
We had planned a party for Lillian and her buddies for last Friday but the weather did not agree. I postponed it for yesterday and the rain held off and proved to be a great afternoon to be outside!
Have I mentioned that Lillian loves bubbles. Here she is trying to make the bubble maker work faster.
One lap around the carousel.
Adeline was quick to find a horse near Riley.
Lillian should be a pro at blowing out candles. Yet she is still shy when the cupcake is in front of her. She had lots of help from all of us around her.
Then a spin on the train!
One trip on the boats...
then down the slide!
Have you met Lillian's bodyguards? Here they are: Henry and Ben. When Lillian is near these two sweet boys are always looking out for her.
Then off to the see saw...
and a ride on a dinosaur. This was when she was stalling because she thought I was trying to get her to leave. She was the last person on the playground at this point.
Finally got her out of the dinosaur with the bribe of a walk with her little buddy, Jane.
Back on the carousel.
Mmmmumm-Mwaaaaaah!
(That is supposed to be the sound of a kiss.)
Doesn't she seem a bit young to already be giving me this look?!
Always sweet with baby Spencer.
Day would not be complete without an airplane.
Who needs the train when you have Adeline pulling the wagon.
Back at home. My sweet girls. My, oh my, how the time flies.

Luke's Birthday!
Luke is 40! Well, not yet. Next Saturday he will turn 40. The youngest looking 40 year old I have ever met. He refused to let me throw him a party so I decided to have a small dinner with family. By Saturday afternoon it had grown a little bit which was wonderful, especially for the girls who had lots of kids to play with.
Lillian always finds the bubbles.
I am pretty sure that there is a weight limit on the jeep. And there were horns too, thanks to Susan!
Here it is. You will never see this again. Luke wearing a birthday hat AND smiling.
Lots of good smiles :)
The only reason Luke tolerated any of this was because he knew he would get a red velvet cake from his mom. It is his most favorite thing. He even had some for breakfast this morning.
As some of you may know, it is very hard to buy a gift for Luke. His Mom and Dad always come up with a creative way to give him a gift that he will keep, and not return. This gift took the (birthday) cake. They gave him a money tree, Luke's birthday wish for 40 years, a tree that grows money! It is a blackberry bush with $10 bills clipped to it and a very clever poem. Was the perfect gift for Luke and I can't wait to plant it in the backyard and see what it produces this summer!
Happy Birthday, Luke!
