Easter!

We did a lot in 3 days!  Adeline and I started off the Easter weekend with dying eggs.

Lillian was "out of sorts" on Saturday when we headed to an Easter egg hunt.  Adeline, on the other hand, was in the spirit!

Still not big smiles with Nonni and Poppy but tolerating the camera a little more.

Back in the game with the mention of candy.

The group.  We were happy to get to visit with the Hueys (a.k.a. the Whoeys), SueSue and Riley, Teeny and Doc and Weese.

Lots of pictures.  That is Riley who is 10 but looks 16!

We managed to get them in 2 shots together, not an easy task.  Notice how the bunnies hand is faaaaaaaar away from Lillian.  She hollered every time he tried to hold on to her.

Doc and Teeny!

Oh, and there were horses.  Lillian lasted about 2 laps around the ring with the horse then hopped the fence.

After the egg hunt we got to play outside with our sweet neighbor.  Like how Lillian has figured out how to hitch a ride?!  Teeny was a good Easter bunny and hid eggs with the kids, but they found them before she ever had a chance!

Saturday night we had dinner with Wilson, Lindsey, her parents, Sue and Chris and her brother, Michael.  They were sweet to bring Lillian her FIRST second birthday present. Lillian's birthday is Wednesday and this was her first gift.  She was thrilled with her "bunnies", as you can tell.  They came with a house that she desperately tried to put in the crib with her last night.  It was a big hit!

A swing ride with Uncle Weese...

and birthday cake for Lillian!

Of course the Easter bunny came by and brought the girls some treats, including new bathing suits and socks.  Lillian was interested in the socks.

Easter Sunday was a wonderful day, for many many reasons!

As we were waving goodbye to Doc and Teeny Lillian was camped out on the front stoop finishing her cake.  Probably foreshadowing for the next 10 days of birthday celebrations.

This was not the end of the day!  The girls took naps and then we headed over to the Murrays for dinner.  I have not downloaded the pictures yet but will post tomorrow.

Happy Easter!

A Girls Weekend

Luke was out of town this weekend so the girls and I got lots of QT.  Adeline had been asking for pizza for a week so I told her that Friday night we would have pizza and watch a movie.  I chose Dumbo, one she had never seen and I had not seen in a long long time.  I made a picnic for them on the ottoman and we tuned in for the circus.  It is one of her new favorites!

Saturday was a GLORIOUS day.  Absolutely gorgeous. I thought Pullen Park would be a great place for us to get outside and enjoy the weather....along with 600 other people.  I was not the only person with this great idea.  It was the most packed I have ever seen the park.

Line to ride on the carousel = 15 minutes

Line to ride on the train = 40 minutes

One ride on the train = 3.5 minutes

Ice Cream cones after the first perfect day of spring = priceless.

Happy Birthday, Doc!

Doc had his birthday this past Monday and we were able to celebrate with him last weekend.  This was our lunch with everyone.  Weese showed us his inner monkey and Adeline (and the rest of us) thought it was pretty funny.

The mini birthday cake

 Make a wish!

Lillian ate her own cake and Doc's cake too.

Adeline presenting Doc with her card.

Sunday was gorgeous!  We finished our weekend with a dinner outside.  Lillian is always hooting when she sees or hears an airplane.  We were finally able to catch it all on film:

A WHO-Wonderful Weekend and much more

Cousin Riley was a Who in his school production of Seussical.  It was a fabulous musical, well done, precious cast, and Riley was an awesome Who!  Adeline was enthralled watching them dance and sing.  I had to leave half way through to take care of a Lillian situation but was excited to see these cute pictures of Adeline, Riley and the Dillons (Riley's best friends).

Adeline is still talking about her picture with the Sour Kangaroo, on the far left.  She was very impressed with her "long hair and high heels".

Lillian and Nonni tackle a puzzle.

Lillian getting ready for a Who weekend with her Who hair.  We always say she looks like Cindy Lou Who!

These pics with the Brewer boys were taken a few weekends ago.  Adeline LOVES it when they come over!

I probably should not document these thing but I cant help but laugh.. here is the princess in full melt-down mode.  Her hands had been hanging from the handle and she sloooooooowly screamed and slid her way down to the floor.  Not even sure why she was melting.

New shoes from Aunt Jackie!

New jewelry from Elinor and Aubrey!  This was a complete surprise for all of us.  Elinor sent a big box of jewelry and it arrived Saturday morning.  The girls tore into it and quickly decided who got what...Adeline had about 20 necklaces around her neck in a matter of minutes.  Lillian could not get it past her bow.  She settled on a few bracelets.

A mid morning snack on the front stoop, finally a nice warm day!

Teeny and Doc came in town on Saturday for the Duke v. UNC game.  We got to visit with them on Saturday and then had a birthday lunch for Dad on Sunday (will post pics later).  This was Adeline on Sat, she was so exhausted she fell asleep in Teeny's lap!
