January is almost over...

... and we have been busy, busy, busy.  Lots of pictures to post from just the past week.  We had a mini vacation last week in Randleman.  The girls played dress-up in Teeny's closet (those are her heels), they "organized"the spices, took a couple trips to the mill, a few walks in the cold country air, and lots of home cooking!

Headed back to Raleigh and back into a routine.
Lillian in dress-up clothes and 'click clops".
Adeline has recently given up her naps.  On Saturday she was on her 3rd day free of naps and asked Luke if it would be ok if she just laid down for a minute.  She said that it would not count as a nap if she was on the floor.  I did not know what she meant until I went to check on her.  She had made a nice cozy nap palette on the floor....sure looks like she is sleeping to me!

Trip to the museum

This week was Transportation week at school.  Here is a picture of Adeline and her awesome teacher. Adeline is wearing her car that they made out of boxes.  Today her class went to the airport observation deck.  It was a blustery day but the kids LOVED it!

Leaf Blower

This is just silly.
We had gorgeous weather a few weeks ago...much different from the frigid temps we are experiencing now.  Luke took advantage of the weather to blow off the driveway...the girls thought it was hilarious when he pointed the leaf blower their way.  They did this for 20 minutes, no exaggeration.

Makes me laugh.

A Wintery Tar Heel Weekend!

We had a brush with a winter storm last Friday.  Raleigh got a mere dusting but it made for a beautiful morning!  Our yard was full of sun by 10 so the snow melted pretty quickly.  We went on a search for more shady spots and ended up at the Arboretum.  One of our favorite spots in Raleigh.  Also happens to be one of Grandora and Teeny's favorite spots, too!

The bulbs were already popping up.

That was Friday....Saturday Adeline was in for a real treat.  We met Doc in Chapel Hill and the two of them headed over to the UNC v. MD game.  She even got to ride the bus!

I was NOT invited so these 2 cute shots were taken by Dad and emailed to me.

Dad said she asked a ton of questions...questions about the players, questions about the uniforms, questions about Doc's hair...he said she was really interested in the time-outs.  But scared of the Ram.

I got lunch at Foster's Market and then killed time in Chapel Hill until I got the call that it was time to come pick them up.  Here are the happy fans after the game.  I am pretty sure she ate most of that popcorn all by herself.

Go Tar Heels!

Jackie's Wedding!

Adeline and I were honored to be a part of Hayes and Jackie's wedding this weekend.  Adeline was the flower girl and took her job very very seriously. She marched down the aisle, threw the petals perfectly and stood at the front...almost silently.  There were a few moments that her legs were hurting and she was hungry but I hope I was the only one who heard her mention it.

We got there on Saturday and were able to have a few test runs down the aisle.

Then off to the dressing room.

The ceremony was really sweet and the reception was wonderful.

Adeline made circles through the party all night, often in a train with the other 2 girls there...

 until they fell down!

Meanwhile, Lillian spent lots of time at home...but I think she was ok with it!

Congratulations to the Wilsons!
